Sensex down over 200 points

Mumbai, Nov 5 : The BSE Sensex on Tuesday dropped further by 240 points to open at 78,542.16 as selling was seen in Power, Realty, and Technology stocks.
The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange ( NSE) fell 16.50 points at 23,978.
The NSE registered days high and low at 24,026 and 23,908.65. points respectively.
The Sensex registered intraday highs at 78,833.88 and 78,455.66 points.
The midcap declined 0.17 pc, while the small cap rose by 0.33 pc.
In 30 scrips, 15 advanced while 15 declined.
The losers were Adani Ports by 2.54 pc to Rs 1314.70, ITC by 1.18 pc to Rs 479, Infosys by 0.74 pc to Rs 1751.90, Hind Unilever by 0.63 pc to Rs 2509.95, and L&T by 0.54 pc to Rs 3554.45.
The gainers were Tata Steel by 2.35 pc to Rs 150.40, IndusInd Bank by 2.10 pc to Rs 1085.90, JSW Steel by 1.90 pc to Rs 972.95, and Tata Motors by 1.57 pc to Rs 837.
