Fire breaks out in Manipur CID office

Imphal, August 1 : Fire broke out at the CID office of Manipur Police here on Monday.

Fire tenders rushed in and doused the fire. The exact details of the loss were not yet known

but it was suspected that the fire could have started from a short circuit.

Fire was reported around 2 am and eight fire tenders were used to control the fire. Precautionary measures were taken up at Imphal West police station, Manipur Rifles, Imphal Secretariat, BSNL office which were near the CID office so that the fire would not spread out.

Manipur Fire service personnel said the fire was completely under control and documents, office materials stored at the CID office were burnt.
