Accident In Jharkhand : Two killed in Chakardharpur of West Singhbhum as bus rams bike

Chaibasa, Apr 12 : Two bike-borne youths lost their lives as a bike on which they were travelling was hit by a bus near Silfodi village on the Chakardharpur-Sonuwa main road of the West Singhbhum district.

Police on Monday said that the incident had taken place late Sunday night itself. The deceased have been identified as Ganesh Bodra (28) and Kamlesh Samad (20). Both of them worked as DJ operators and were returning to their village from Tokolo when their bike was hit by a speeding bus coming from the opposite end.

Both of them died on the spot police said, adding that the duo was riding without helmets. Post the incident the bus driver fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind.

On Monday both the bodies were sent for post-mortem to Chakardharpur sub-divisional hospital. The family members of the deceased also registered a complaint at Chakardharpur police station and demanded compensation.
