AIMIM holds protest in mocking manner during CM’s visit

Aurangabad, Sep 17 : The activists of AIMIM held a protest during Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s visit in a mocking manner by holding flowers, beating trumpet and placards here on Friday.

Mr.Thackeray arrived here this morning to hoist tricolour national flag at Siddharth Garden and to attend virtually inaugural function of Santpeetha at Paithan and bhoomi pooja for the construction of a ZP administration building on the occasion of Marathwada Muktisangram day today.

The AIMIM activists were seen standing either side of the road from Airport to Siddarth garden to register their protest to the Chief Minister in a mocking way by showing flowers, placards and beating trumpets.

The AIMIM sources said they want to register their protest in a Gandhian way. However, some of the AIMIM activists, who were protesting the Chief Minister’s visit, were held by the police.

The AIMIM expressed protest in a Gandhian war against the indifference of the government developing the Marathwada region during the Chief Minister’s visit.

However, the police held many AIMIM activists at various places.

Later,all of them were released.
Talking to the media, AIMIM MP Jaleel said the Shiv Sena had falsely claimed in a booklet that they had done overall development of Marathwada region.

Hence,as a peoples’ representative of district it is my duty to welcome state chief minister and expressed gratitude .
