Bengal Politics Update : Suvendu Adhikari becomes Nandigram voter, To file his candidature for Nandigram seat as BJP candidate

Nandigram, Mar 12 : BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, who is expected to file his nomination papers for the Nandigram seat shortly, has become a voter for Nandigram assembly in East Medinipur, from which TMC supremo and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has filled her nominations on Wednesday last.

Mr Adhikari was the voter of port-town Haldia and used to cast vote at Tamluk assembly constituency.

But after his new voter card, he is now the voter of the Nandigram assembly seat where he would contest the election, the second time since 2016.

Mr Adhikari called himself the son of the soil of Medinipur and dubbed Mamata Banerjee as an outsider in the Nandigram assembly.

“Outsiders” word often can be heard from the TMC leaders describing the BJP central leadership and the union ministers, including PM Narendra Modi.

BJP sources said three union ministers Smriti Irani, Dharmendra and Babul Supriyo to assist Suvendu Adhikari during the filing of nomination papers at the SDO office.

Before filing his candidature, Mr Adhikari to lead a roadshow.
