Bengal Update : Mamata describes suspension of eight MPs as unfortunate

Kolkata, Sep 21 : Describing the suspension of the eight MPs as unfortunate,

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday said it reflected this

“autocratic Government’s mindset”.

Taking to her twitter handle, Ms Banerjee said, ” Suspension of the eight MPs who

fought to protect farmers interests is unfortunate & reflective of this autocratic Govt’s

mindset that doesn’t respect democratic norms & principles. “

” We won’t bow down & we’ll fight this fascist Govt in Parliament & on the streets.

BJPKilledDemocracy, ” the Chief Minister asserted.

Eight Opposition members were suspended from the Rajya Sabha this morning for

the rest of the session over unprecedented chaos in the House during the passage of

Farm Bills on Sunday.

The members included Trinamool Congress’ Derek O’Brien, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP)’s

Sanjay singh, Congress’ Rajeev Satav and CPI(M)’s K K Ragesh.
