Patna, Mar 9 : Bihar Human Resources development minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhari today said that 33% constituent colleges and 30% state universities were NAC accredited in Bihar.
Replying to a short noticed question of Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) member Lalit Kumar Yadav during pre lunch sitting in the state assembly, Mr Chaudhary said out of 270 constituent colleges 90 were NAC accredited whereas out of 16 Universities 13 fulfill the criteria for NAC accreditation of which four were already accredited by NAC.
He said that for NAC accreditation it was essential to score 2.5 points by the constituent colleges and Universities.
Through his supplementary Mr Lalit Yadav said the colleges and Universities were are not getting UGC grant without NAC accreditation, forcing the students to migrate from here.
Through other supplementary, the members, including Sanjiv Saurabh and Vijay Kumar alias Dabloo Singh, raised the issue of allotment of land of three universities such as Veer Kunwar Singh University and Magadh University to other institutions which may jeopardize the NAC acceleration of the concerned universities.
To this, Mr Chaudhary assured that the land of the concerned universities allotted to other educational institutions would not obstruct the process of NAC accreditation of the universities concerned.
Replying to an another query of Vijay Kumar alias Dabloo Singh regarding appointment of teachers in the schools of plus two level, Mr Chaudhary said the appointment process was stopped following an order of the Patna High Court. He said the government would soon file an application before the court to start the process.
