Chicago, Aug 1 : J-Hope of Kpop sensation BTS made history as the first Korean musician to take the main stage at Lollapalooza here on its last day as a headliner.
The annual four-day music festival held in Chicago’s Grand Park saw JHope entertain audience in a savage new look for over an hour on Sunady. He was the main headliner on Sunday (US time).
The Chicago spectacle is a major celebration of music, and J-Hope’s BTS mate Park Jimin flew out to be with his hyung when he performed.
A Lollapalooza organizer has revealed to fans that he is the biggest draw the festival has ever had as one of the headliners.
In a tweet from earlier today, the fan said they spoke with a Lollapalooza organizer who said that in the festival’s 31 years of operation, no one act has sold as many tickets as J-Hope.
This comes as no shock given BTS’ fandom and J-Hope’s solo career foray, theinquirer.net reported.
The rapper-dancer recently released his debut solo album “Jack In The Box”, lead by the singles “More” and “Arson.”
J-Hope is the first of the group to release a solo album, and the rest will follow.
