Congress protests against ED summons to Sonia Gandhi

Nagpur, July 26 : Nagpur Congress leaders staged protests at Samvidhan Square here on Tuesday against ED’s summons to Congress president Sonia Gandhi for questioning and termed it as a step to tarnish image of Congress party.

Speaking to reporters here, Congress senior leader Vilas Muttemwar said BJP is trying to harass Congress leaders by

using the central federal agency(ED) against its leaders.

“These actions are just aimed to defame Congress Party and Gandhi family. However, we will continue to fight against it and stand by Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi,” said Muttemwar.

On Tuesday Sonia Gandhi appeared once again before the Enforcenent Directorate(ED) for second round of questioning in connection with the National Herald money laundering case.
