New Delhi, Oct 22 : A three-day meeting of the Central Committee of Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) started in the national capital on Friday, which will hold deliberations ahead of a meeting of the Party Congress scheduled to be held next year.
The meeting will lay the foundation for the draft political resolution that the party will place at the Party Congress in April 2022.
Apart from discussing the current political situation, the meeting is also set to deliberate upon its strategy in the coming days, including a multi-party front against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Several Opposition parties have come together to protest against the government in Parliament and outside, and have also rallied their support to the farmers’ protests.
The party leaders would discuss the emerging of an all-India front focused on combating BJP and the parties which can be partnered with.
The 23rd Congress of the CPI-M will be held in Kannur, Kerala in April 2022.
