New Delhi, Nov 21 : The air quality in Delhi continues to remain in the ‘very poor’ category on Sunday, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) data.
According to the weather department, the overall air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 365.
“The air quality is likely to improve further and remain in poor to moderate category in the next two day. PM2.5 to be the predominant pollutant,” said IMD.
The crop residue burning fire points were observed in Punjab (283), Haryana (127) and UP (20) on Saturday, it added.
As per the weather department, the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.8 degree celsius, three notches below the normal and the maximum temperature is likely to settle at 27 degree celsius.
As per the Centre-run System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), the AQI was clocked at 362.
