ED’s action on National Herald ‘political vendetta’: MPCC chief

Insight Online News

Mumbai, August 2 : Reacting over ED’s action on National Herald offices across the country, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee president Nana Patole on Tuesday described it as ”done only out of political vendetta.”.

The BJP government at the Centre is determined to eliminate the Opposition parties and the Enforcement Directorate’s actions are part of that, he said in a statement.

Even after harassing Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the name of investigation, the BJP government was not satisfied and now raided the offices of the National Herald newspaper across the country, the MPCC chief said and alleged that the leaders of the Opposition parties are being harassed.

He said that the central investigation agencies like ED, CBI and Income Tax have now become the branches of BJP and they are dancing to the tunes of the boss in Delhi.
Due to this, the autonomy of these institutions has been taken away, Patole alleged.
