Elon Musk says he hired new CEO for X/Twitter

Washington, May 12 : US billionaire Elon Musk said that he hired a new CEO for X/Twitter, who will start to work in 6 weeks.
“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in Rs6 weeks!” Musk said.
Musk also stated that he is transitioning his role at X/Twitter to an executive chair and CTO in order to oversee product, software, and system operations.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter, that Linda Yaccarino, the head of advertising at NBCUniversal, was in talks to become the new CEO of Twitter.
An NBCU spokesperson told the media Yaccarino was in back-to-back rehearsals for NBCU’s upfront, the company’s annual pitch event for advertisers scheduled for Monday in New York.
The media also said that Twitter did not comment on the matter.
