Four including woman killed in collision between two vehicles in Jamtara

Jamtara, Dec 15 : Four people including a woman lost their lives in a collision between two vehicles which took place on the Dumka-Asansol main road at Haldidih village under Kundhit Police Station area of this district.

Police on Wednesday said three people died on the spot while another one died in the course of treatment at the hospital while the condition of another person was stated to be critical.

Among the deceased included Shivdas Soren (35), Siuli Marandi (30), Ramdas Soren (18) and Amit Marandi.

Among the deceased three are from Haldidih village while one is from Rabiyakata village under Massalia Police Station area of Dumka district.

Post the incident the villagers blocked traffic movement on the road demanding compensation for the kin. The agitation was called off post the intervention of the local administration.

Police said that Shivdas Soren with his wife Sijuli and brother Ramdas was returning to his village from Dumka while the other bike was going towards Dumka from Babupur. Such was the impact of the accident that both the vehicles were severely damaged.
