Mumbai, Aug 31 : Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde welcomed Ganpati Bappa at his official residence “Varsha” Wednesday in the presence of officials, fellow leaders and family.
Shinde greeted people of Maharashtra and expressed happiness that the celebrations could finally be held in full swing after two years.
The entire state is drenched in festive fever as their most beloved and revered deity lord Ganesha visits them during the 10-day celebrations.
MP Shrikant Shinde and his family were also present for the Varsha celebrations.
As the Shinde family performed Aarti, he appealed to people to focus on environment.
“Happy Ganeshotsav to all Ganesha devotees in the state,” Shinde said in his message.
“Due to grace off Ganesha, the Corona crisis is over after two years. So this year we are welcoming Ganpati with enthusiasm, gaiety and unrestricted atmosphere. May his arrival bring happiness, prosperity and satisfaction in all our lives,” the Chief Minister said.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said in his tweet, “Today is Shri Ganesh Chaturthi. Best wishes to all! Ganapati Bappa Morya”.
