Govt employee in ACB net

Thane, April 14 : A government employee was caught by the Anti Corruption Bureau(ACB) in Maharashtra’s Thane district while taking bribes, it was announced on Thursday.

ACB in an official release stated that the alleged accused, Jagan Dinkar, junior clerk in a hospital sought Rs 1,05,000 from a complainant for making payment of the balance payment of the bill arising out of the time-bound promotion, after negotiation it was decided to settle the matter in Rs 60,000.

Aggrieved complainant lodged a complaint with the Thane unit of the ACB officials, who laid a trap in a hotel in the city, and nabbed him while accepting bribe on Wednesday. A case was registered and further investigation was on, police added.
