Aurangabad, Aug 18 : Discharge of flooded water from Jayakwadi dam in to downstream has been increased by the irrigation authorities on Thursday following and continue large inflow of 70,240 cuses per second from the upstream dams catchment areas in Nashik district, Command Area Development Authority (CADA) official sources said here on Thursday.
According to them, from 0600 hours this morning 76,056 cuses water per second continues discharging through all the 18 gates out of total 27 gates which are presently lifted upto four feet ,they said.
The dam present maintaining 95.65 percent stocks with 1521.21 feet and 463.665 meter which is 99 TMC out of 102 TMC of its full capacity .
The District administration had already issued alerts in all the villages around bay of river and warned them to not to venture near by river.
