Hamirpur(HP), Feb 22 : After the Panchayati Raj elections in Himachal Pradesh, horse trading is in full swing in the BJP and Congress party both.
Leaders of both parties are bent upon creating a dent in their rival party by managing their workers to join them at a time when both parties are gearing up for the 2022 Assembly elections in the state.
The BJP had taken a lead by managing defections in the Congress party in different parts of the district and now the Congress has also come into action to create a dent in the BJP.
While 38 workers of the Congress party deserted the party and joined the BJP in Amned village of the district, as per Narendra Thakur, MLA from Hamirpur, on other hand, Rajendra Rana, the Sujanpur MLA of the Congress party claimed that more than fifty workers of the Sujanpur area have deserted the BJP and have joined the Congress party recently.
Political analysts of the district say that the way the horse trading was going on that is not good for both parties and leaders of both parties should concentrate on their own flock failing which the situation will become complicated at the time of the next elections due to the change in the political scenario of the country due to one reason or another.
