House sites for Journos : TWJF announces 4-phase statewide agitation from Apr 17

Hyderabad, April 14 : Telangana Working Journalists Federation (TWJF) State Committee has announced a four-phase statewide agitation from next Monday to press their demand for house sites to all Journalists.
TWJF state-level conference, Chaired by Senior Vice President Pilli Ramchander, was held on Thursday and attended by its state office bearers, executive members, state council members, district presidents, coordinators, and national council members.
During the conference, a resolution was passed to hold a state-wide agitation for house sites to Journalists.
The first phase of the agitation will begin on April 17 and 18 with a call to collect signatures of journalists at the constituency and district levels. The second phase will involve submitting petitions to local MLAs and Ministers on April 25 and 26. The third phase will take place on May 2 and 3 with initiatives in the district centers, and the fourth and final phase will involve a Maha Dharna at Indira Park in Hyderabad on May 15.
TWJF General Secretary B. Basavapunnaiah stated that there would be no compromise on the matter of journalists housing sites.
He reminded that journalists have been waiting for houses for the last 35 years, and it is unfair for the state government not to announce its policy even after the Supreme Court verdict.
He called upon the ranks of the federation to strictly implement the decisions of the general meeting.
The conference was also attended by Federation Vice Presidents P Anandam, Elgoi Prabhakar, Bandi Vijay, Gudiga Raghu, P.Radhika, V Jagan, B. Vijayanand, B. Rajasekhar, Secretaries Erram Narsinga Rao, SK Salima, E Chandrasekhar, Gandra Naveen, B. Damodar, B. Jagadishwar, Koppu Niranjan, P. Bikshapati, K. Anil Reddy, Tanniru Srinivas, and HUJ President Arun Kumar, among others.
