Hamirpur (HP), Aug 17 : Senior BJP leader and former HP Chief Minister, Prem Kumar Dhumal on Tuesday exhorted the party workers to strengthen their respective booths and thereby keep them ready for the upcoming Vidhan Sabha elections in the state.
Dhumal said this while addressing party workers at Bagarti booth of the district here.
He said that no elections could be fought or won without proper planning and strengthening of booths.
He said that when the workers and the party-appointed leaders would carry out all the activities as told by the party leadership, nothing could prevent them from winning the next elections that were badly needed to keep the Indian polity intact.
Dhumal hit out at the Congress party for trying to harm the cause of the nation by raising unnecessary issues. He said that the main aim of the Congress and other opposition parties was to capture power once again as they could not live without power.
He claimed that the Bharatiya Janata Party has become the largest political party in the world and the credit for this went only and only to the hardworking workers of the party led by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. : It has taken many years for the party to reach its present form and many eminent personalities have dedicated their lives to the party towards achieving this goal”, he emphatically told the party workers.
Dhumal appealed to the workers to work hard because a minor mistake could lose a seat and the government.
While explaining the importance of ‘Apna Booth’ as the strongest subject, the former Chief Minister said that one should ensure that his/her own booth is working strongly and maximum votes were polled from their booths in favor of the party in the coming elections.
