Para-Medical staff in event of their death due to COVID
Hamirpur(HP), May 26 : The Hamirpur District Congress Committee (DCC) has demanded a compensation of one crore rupees to the Medical officers and Para-Medical staff in event of their death due to the COVID-19.
Rajendra Zar, the DCC chief, said today that a decision to this effect taken by the Government of Delhi was a welcome step and the HP government should follow the suit.
He said that all are risking their lives in the service of humanity and as such they deserved proper help by the government.
The Congress party chief said that the party had decided to give a sum of two thousand rupees per month to such children who had lost their parents due to the CORONA pandemic. It was a historic step on part of the party that is in opposition at present.
He alleged that there were many deficiencies in the working of the state government regarding help to the COVID-affected people but the government was sleeping over that due to one reason or another.
Zar said that it was a matter of great concern that the mortality rate was going up in all parts of the state including Hamirpur district.
He said that two Congress MLAs from the district, Rajendra Singh Rana and Inder Dutt Lakhanpal have been doing yeoman service for humanity and were busy in helping the suffering people on their own but that was not digested to the BJP people and that was ridiculous.
The DCC chief said that the party would continue to help the suffering people and would not sit silent despite the fact that the virus was still functioning and was harming the cause of all.
