Sriharikota, Sep 2 : ISRO’s PSLV-C57 carrying Aditya-L1

satellite, India’s maiden mission to Sun, lifts off from the SHAR

Range here at 1150 hrs on Saturday.

After a smooth 23 hr 40 minute countdown, the workhorse launch

vehicle of ISRO lifts off from the Second Launch Pad in a textbook

style and will place the satellite in a low earth orbit after a flight

duration of about 20 minutes.

Scientists at the Mission Control Centre are watching the course

of the flight.
