Ramallah, Aug 10 : A Palestinian militant was killed Thursday in an Israeli army forces’ raid on a village near the north West Bank city of Nablus, said Palestinian medics and eyewitnesses.
Amir Khalifa, 27, was killed by Israeli soldiers during clashes in the town of Zwata, west of Nablus, the Palestinian Health Ministry said in a press briefing.
Khalifa died of a shot in the head by Israeli soldiers, the ministry said, as medics failed to save his life.
Palestinian eyewitnesses said an Israeli army unit stormed the village, and clashes broke out between the force and Palestinians, including militants.
The Israeli authorities did not comment on the incident and the killing of Khalifa, who has been wanted by the Israeli security authorities for several months for being involved in shooting attacks against Israelis.
