New Delhi, Nov 12 : External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Friday met with a six-member US Congressional delegation led by Senator John Cornyn during which they discussed bilateral cooperation and regional issues, including the Indo-Pacific and Afghanistan.

The group of six US lawmakers had paid a three-day visit to Taiwan earlier this week and met with Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen and senior security officials on Wednesday.
Besides Cornyn, the others include Mike Lee, Tommy Tuberville and Mike Crapo, media reports said.
After meeting President Tsai, they visited the Ministry of National Defense (MND) in Taipei’s Dazhi area, where they were briefed by MND officials on recent actions taken by China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) to intimidate Taiwan.
They also visited the corporate headquarters for Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. (TSMC) in the Hsinchu Science Park, where they reportedly discussed the ongoing chip shortage affecting everything from America’s auto industry to its most sophisticated fighter jets, before ending their visit.
