Ranchi, Oct 8 : Jharkhand High Court on Friday got four new judges with which the number of Justice in the court has increased to 19.
In a function held in the High Court premises Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the new judges. All the four have been administered the oath as Additional Judges.
The Supreme Court Collegium had approved five names as judges for the Jharkhand High Court out of which the centre approved four names and notification was issued for these four names for appointment as judges of the Jharkhand high court. There are a total of 25 sanctioned posts of judges in the Jharkhand high court including that of the Chief Justice.
Those who have been appointed as new judges of the court included Sanjay Prasad, Navneet Kumar, Ambuj Nath and Gautam Kumar Chowdhary.
