Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 8 : ‘Kashmiri Saffron’ will be made available for the UAE residents, UAE-based Kerala businessman and billionaire Yusuff Ali MA said on Saturday.
Mr Ali, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International and Second Vice Chairman of Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI), UAE, said the ongoing ‘Kashmir Week’ event in Dubai will help the people to know more about the traditional Kashmiri products.
“The Lulu’s entry into the Kashmir will help us to introduce Kashmiri products including Kashmiri Saffron and Kashmiri apples across the world through our worldwide outlets,” he said.
The Lulu Group Chairman said the ‘Kashmir Week’ event in Dubai will highlight Kashmiri fruits, vegetables, dry fruits, pulses, handicrafts and other specialty products.
Earlier, stating that the Lulu Group will invest Rs 200 crore to set up its unit in Jammu and Kashmir, he said the inauguration of the first ‘Kashmir Week’ event in Dubai and launching of GI Tagged (Geographical Indications) Kashmir Saffron will help the world to come to know about the Kashmiri traditional products.
