Lalan fumes again against BJP, says JD(U) will discuss RCP episode on Tuesday

Patna, August 8 : A day after accusing the BJP of preparing RCP Singh as ‘Chirag Model’ to damage his party, JD(U) president Rajeev Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh on Monday said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had convened a meeting of all party MPs and Legislators on Tuesday to discuss the RCP episode.

Singh told media persons here that RCP Singh, former JD(U) president who had resigned from the party on Saturday evening, accepted the fact that he had joined the Narendra Modi cabinet on his own without the consent of Chief Minister Kumar last year.

RCP had only informed Kumar that he was going to join Narendra Modi’s cabinet as BJP was prepared to give him a cabinet berth, he added.

” According to RCP Singh, Union Home Minister and former BJP president Amit Shah had informed him that his party had given its consent only for him to be inducted in cabinet”, JD(U) president said adding that RCP Singh had informed Chief Minister Kumar about consent given by BJP. After that, Kumar asked RCP to join Narendra Modi’s cabinet if BJP was so prepared to induct him, he added.

” Will BJP decide the name of leader to join the cabinet”, Singh asked. If RCP was taking a decision on the basis of consent of BJP and not JD(U), then he should himself ponder over the fact of what he was doing, he remarked.

JD(U) president said that the RCP episode was a serious issue as it was an attempt to prepare him as Chirag model to damage JD(U), an oblique reference to BJP for hatching the conspiracy. Chief Minister Kumar had convened a meeting of party MPs and Legislators to discuss the situation arising after RCP episode, he added.
