Maha: 2,833 complaints received through C-Vigil app

Mumbai, Nov 7 : Over 2,833 complaints were received till November 6 on the C-Vigil app for the Assembly General Election 2024 across the state, the Chief Election Officer said here on Thursday.
Out of this 2,819 complaints were found to be true and action has been taken by the Election Commission, the officials said.
C-Vigil app, which helps citizens to follow the code of conduct, can be downloaded from any app store. Through this app, citizens can report violations of the code of conduct.
After the complaint is filed, appropriate action is taken after investigation by the concerned team, the statement said.
Enforcement agencies of the state and central government have seized 281 crores and 78 lakhs of assets in cases of illegal money, liquor, drugs, and precious metals.
Effective implementation of the code of conduct is underway in the state, added the statement.
