Mamata announces ” Duyare Sarkar” 2nd phase to start from New Year 2022

Raigunj, West Bengal, Dec 7 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday once again slammed the Centre for not paying its “due shares” in terms of funds and said the state, however, would not stop in carrying out community development for all sections of the society.

She said the state government was facing financial crunch owing to pandemic situation and on top of that the Centre was not providing its due share. While reviewing the progress and development of the two districts of South Dinajpur and North Dinajpur in north Bengal, Ms Banerjee announced a slew of new projects, including allowances for students, fishing community and artists, and laid the foundation of some new projects of two districts at Karnajora.

She said under the Students Credit cards scheme, some 25,000 students will be benefitted initially, while and special cards will be provided to the artists. She said the Duyare Sarkar’s second phase will start from January 1-10 and the second from January 20-30. In the first phase three crore people have been benefited, Ms Banerjee added.

On Tuesday Ms Banerjee announced altogether 48 projects for two districts, of which 15 for North Dinajpur and 23 for South Dinajpur. The projects included widening of roads and laying out new roads and setting up bridges. She also urged the party legislators to be with the people while the development projects were being executed.
