Panaji, Dec 13 : West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday expressed confidence that Trinamool Congress and Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) alliance would win the next assembly elections to held early next year in Goa.

Speaking at International Centre Goa here, she said,” TMC and MGP will win the elections. If anyone wants to defeat BJP it’s upto them to support us.”

Ms Banerjee said she thought of talking on Bharatiya Janata Party as no other party was fighting with the ruling party.

“No body fights BJP that is why I decided to take it on. If BJP can contest in West Bengal why can’t TMC in Goa,” she said.

The TMC supremo said she wanted to see overall development of Goa.

“I want to see Goa as a sweet and cute state. Every body in Goa should be well. Youth of Goa will have to take leadership,” she said.
Ms Banerjee said states should be strong and so should be the federal structure.

Ms Banerjee is on a three-day visit to the poll bound state.
