Hamirpur (HP), Sep 15 : BJP Rajya Sabha Member Indu Goswami on Thursday said that the present BJP government would always be remembered for the historic decision to give the status of the tribal areas to the Hati community.

While addressing a Mahila sammelan of the party at Baroha village today, she said that such historic decisions could only be taken by a government of a strategic party like the BJP. She also thanked Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur as well as Union Minister Anurag Thakur for giving special status to the Hati community.

Indu Goswami on the Congress’s statement of misuse of money said that the double engine government of the BJP has been running many welfare schemes for every section of the society, so it was the right of the government to go and communicate among the people and the BJP should inform the public about these schemes.

Talking about the candidature of women in the assembly elections, Indu Goswami said that in the last elections also, six women were fielded by the party by giving them tickets and got a very good victory. She expressed hope that this time the number of women ticket getters in the BJP will increase.

Local MLA Narendra Thakur expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the women for mobilizing them in thousands. He said that today women are playing their important role shoulder to shoulder with men in every field, and women have a special contribution in the political field too.

Thakur said that some self-styled social workers became active during the election season and work to mislead the public by giving false inducements. Such people gather a lot of discussion around the elections for their political ambitions, but after fulfilling their wishes, they forget the public. People should use their vote wisely by avoiding such people, he added.

He said that on the basis of its public welfare policies, the Jai Ram government is going to be re-elected in the state, which will give further impetus to the development of the state with the mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Saath.

On this occasion, a cleanliness drive was also conducted in the area in which senior BJP leaders were also present.
