Nadaun police registers a case against Sukhvinder Singh Thakur

Hamirpur (HP), Mar 28, : Nadaun police of the district has registered a case under sections 177,181,182 of Indian penal code(IPC)and sections 10-A, 33-A, 125-A and 4-A of Peoples representative act 1951 against Sukhvinder Singh Thakur (Sukhoo), MLA as per the orders of the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Nadaun.

A spokesman of the police department said on Saturday evening that a complaint under section 156(3) of CR.PC had been received from the ACJM court and accordingly a case was registered.

He said that further investigation into the case was on.

It’s worth mentioning here that Sukhvinder Singh Thakur (Sukhoo) had won the Nadaun assembly election in 2017 on a Congress party ticket and later on one of the locals had filed a complaint that Sukhoo had lied in the affidavit he had submitted while filing his nomination papers.

It was alleged that Thakur had not given adequate information about his property in the affidavit that was submitted to the SDM, Nadaun at the time of contesting the election.

Sukhoo was not available for comments.
