Narcotics Control Bureau busts drug gang, 4 held

Hyderabad, Jan 19 : The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) said on Wednesday that it has busted a drug trafficking network dealing with multiple drugs in Bengaluru and Tamil Nadu by arresting four persons including a Nigerian supplier and three drug peddlers from Chennai.

Based on credible information and after a prolonged surveillance, an NCB team from Bengaluru seized 84 grams of cocaine, 40 grams of MDMA and a small quantity of hashish and ganja at Electronic City in Bengaluru from a Nigerian and three peddlers three days back, The peddlers were from Chennai and had come to Bengaluru to purchase the drugs, NCB Bengaluru Zonal unit Director Amit Ghawate said in a statement.

The drugs procured from the Nigerian were meant for hotels, pubs and colleges in Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu, he said.

The Nigerian was said to be an expert in teaching his buyers about ways to improve the potency of the drugs.
