NASA captures mid-level flare eruption from Sun

Washington, Jan 21 : National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA) captured a mid-level solar flare on January. 20, 2022, the flare peaked at 1:01 a.m. EST.

Though harmful radiation from a flare cannot pass through Earth’s atmosphere yet if intense solar flares can impact electric power grids, radio communications, navigation signals, and can pose risk to spacecrafts and astronauts.

This flare, which was classified as a M5.5 class flare was captured by NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, which constantly watches the Sun.
