Kozhikode, Apr 3 : Senior Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi has alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been evading accusing the CPI (M) despite controversies piling up against the party in Kerala.

Speaking at a public meeting in Koyilandy near here on Saturday, he said Prime Minister always talks about “Congress-Mukth Bharat”.

But he never ever had said “CPI(M) Mukth Bharat. This is a glaring evidence of the secret pact between the BJP and the LDF.

He said the LDF Government has ditched the fishermen of the state through the secret deal it had with the US-based firm for a deep sea trawling contract. There is a sea of difference in attacking someone from the front and from behind.

Mr Gandhi alleged that the CPI-M-led LDF Government had stabbed the fishermen from the back.

This reveals the attitude the state government has towards the fisherfolks who struggle for their survival, he added.
