Kozhikode, Sep 9 : With 15 more results of people, who had come in close contacts with the 12-year-old boy who died of Nipah Virus last Sunday, tested negative for the virus, Kerala Health Minister Veena George said on Thursday.
Health department said none of the contacts have been tested positive and few more results are awaited. As many as 61 people have undergone the test for the virus till date.
Presently, 64 persons are under observation or treatment at the Medical college hospital. Testing and surveillance is continuing, the Minister added.
Despite massive sample collection and testing of animals and fruits, the authorities are not yet been able to trace the origin of the virus.
