Patna, Nov 3 : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today ridiculed RJD president Lalu Prasad and his son Tejaswi Prasad Yadav after victory of JD(U) in by-elections for Tarapur and Kusheshwarsthan seats, saying he had always been maintaining that people were masters in democracy but they understood themselves to be masters.
Mr Kumar told media persons here that he had always been saying the fact that people were masters in democracy and their verdict would be accepted. It was pleasant to note people of Kusheshwarsthan and Tarapur assembly constituencies had extended their support to JD(U) candidates enabling them to emerge victorious in by- elections where results were declared yesterday, he added.
” It is victory of the people and I thank them and express my gratitude on the occasion”, Chief Minister said adding that his only mission was to serve the people, so long he continued to get their blessings. He had been serving the people since he got opportunity after getting their blessings, he noted.
Mr Kumar, while responding to queries about RJD chief Mr Prasad and Tejaswi, said that they had been uttering so many undesirable things during by- elections. They understood themselves to be masters in democracy, but for him, only people were masters, he remarked.
