PM Modi will come to Lucknow on Oct 5

Lucknow, Sep 30 : Prime minister Narendra Modi is slated to visit Lucknow on October 5 to inaugurate the three day long Amrit Mahotsav organised by Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.

Official sources here on Thursday said PM will inaugurate ‘Amrit Mahotsav’ being celebrated to commemorate 75th year of independence on October 5 at Indira Gandhi Prathisthan in Gomti Nagar area of the state capital.

On the occassion , PM will hand over keys to the beneficiaries of Urban PM awas scheme.

UP governor Anandiben Patel and chief minister Yogi Adityanath would be present in the function along with union minister for urban development Hardeep Singh Puri.

The program based on the theme ‘Changing Urban Environment’ will be organised from October 5 to 7.The development in all the cities of the state will be demonstrated through the exhibition in the program.

PM will reach Lucknow at around 1100 hours in the morning of October 5 and will stay in the city for around 3 hours, officials here said.

Earlier the programmee was scheduled to held from September 26 to 28. First PM was slated to cone to Lucknow on September 26 to inaugurate the programmee. But it was then postponed to September 28 for his presence during valedictory function but that too was cancelled due to his visit to US.

However the ministry postponed the programmee from October 5 to 8 now.
