Puducherry, Mar 3 : As expected, former Parliamentary Secretary to Chief Minister, K Lakshminarayanan who resigned from the Congress party on Wednesday joined the N R Congress in the presence of Party President N Rangaswamy.
Talking to newspersons after admitting Mr Lakshminarayanan into the party fold, Mr Rangaswamy said that he is happy that Lakshminarayanan has joined the N R Congress.
In the last five years, the previous Congress-DMK government in the Union Territory had failed to implement welfare schemes to the people and Mr Lakshminarayanan is one who raised his voice against the government, the former Chief Minister said.
