Sanjay Raut slams BJP over violence in Maharashtra

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Nov 13 : In a veiled attack on the opposition BJP, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut on Saturday claimed that the motive behind the violence happening in different parts of Maharashtra is to destabilize the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi government.

He was referring to alleged incidents of stone pelting and ransacking of shops by mobs this morning in Amravati during the ‘bandh’ called by the BJP. Hundreds of protesters came out on the streets in ​​Amravati carrying saffron flags in their hands.

Talking to reporters here, he said that violence occurred during today’s ‘bandh’ called to protest against incidents of stone pelting on Friday during rallies organized by Muslim organizations in various districts of the state to protest against the communal violence in Tripura.

The violence that is happening in Maharashtra was aimed at destabilizing the MVA government, he reiterated.

The state government would expose the perpetrators soon and take stern action against them, he added.

Mr Raut was here to lead the Sena’s ‘Jan Akrosh morcha’ against rising inflation.
