Sensex bounces back 555.95 pts

Mumbai, May 4 : The BSE Sensex on Thursday bounced back 555.95 pts to end strong at 61,749.25 on the back of strong corporation earning and renewal FII buying.
The Nifty rose 165.95 pts at 18,255.80.
Easing 161 pts on Wednesday, the Sensex opened positive at 61,258.13, up 65 pts.
During the day it was zoomed 604 pts at 61,67.97, days high, before closing at 61,749.25, surging 555.95 pts from its previous close.
The Nifty registered days high and low at 18,,267.45 and 18,66.70 pts respectively.
The sectoral indices that lifted the market were Financial Services by 1.42 pc, Telecommunication by 1.40 pc, Bankex by 0.86 pc and BSE Services by 0.84 pc.
In scrips, Bajaj Finance was a top gainer,up 3.22 pc to Rs 6337 followed t HDFC by 2.59 pc to Rs 2861, HDFC Bank by 2.18 pc to Rs 1729, Bajaj Finserv by 1.98 pc to Rs 1372.95 and Asian paints by 1.74 pc to Rs 2980.35.
The Mid cap gained 0.82 pc and Small Cap by 0.83 pc. In 30 scrips, 20 advanced while 10 declined.
