Sensex down over 200 points

Mumbai, Oct 4 : The BSE Sensex remained negative on Friday too, declining 253 points to open at 82,244.25 on weak global cues.
The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) fell 60 points at 25,181.90.
All the stocks were in red.
The Sensex registered intra and high and low at 82,649.16 and 82,051.86 points, respectively.
The NSE registered days high and low at 25,287.90 and 25,094.55 points respectively.
The midcap eased 1.04 pc, and the small cap rose by 1.07 pc.
In 30 scrips, 9 advanced, 21 declined, while one remained unchanged.
The losers were Bajaj Finance by 2.13 pc to Rs 7275.15, NTPC by 1.62 pc to Rs 428.35, Asian Paints by 1.41 pc to Rs 3105.90, and Ultracemco by 1.25 pc to Rs 11,575.50.
The gainers were IndusInd Bank by 0.77 pc to Rs 1398, Axis Bank by 0.68 pc to Rs 1183.45, and Titan by 0.56 pc to Rs 3697.50.
