Sensex falls 45 pts

Mumbai, Oct 24 : The BSE Sensex remained under pressure on Thursday too, falling 45 pts at 80,036.25 in opening session as selling was seen in FMCG, Industrials and Telecommunications stocks.
The Nifty of National Stock Exchange ( NSE) eased 16.90 pts at 24,418.
The NSE registered days high and low at 24,480.65 and 24,341.20
pts respectively.
The Mid cap moved up 0.22 pc and Small cap 0.07 pc.
In 30 scrips, 15 advanced,14 declined while one remained unchanged.
The losers were Hind Unilever by 1.62 pc to Rs 7111, Powergrid by 1.14 pc to Rs 320.40, HDFC Bank by 1.01 pc to Rs 1753.15 and NTPC by 1 pc to Rs 412.35.
The gainers were Bajaj Finance by 1.61 pc to Rs 7110, NTPC by 1.08 pc. to Rs 412.64 and HDFC Bank by 1.03 pc to Rs 1753.55.
