Sensex falls over 100 points

Mumbai, Nov 27 : The BSE Sensex on Wednesday slipped further by 104 points at 79,900.44 in the opening session as selling was seen in Metal, Consumer Durable and Oil and Gas stocks.

The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) eased 29.90 pts at 24,164.60.

The NSE registered days high and low at 24,268.85 and 24,153.75 points respectively.

The Sensex registered intra day high at 80,170.16 and 79,879.66 pts.

The Mid cap fell 0.22 pc while Small cap rose by 0.29 pc.

In 30 scrips, 14 advanced while 16 declined.

The losers were IndusInd Bank by 1.14 pc to Rs 998, Bharti Airtel by 0.95 pc to Rs 1562.80 and Tata Steel by 0.93 pc to Rs 143.10.

The gainers were M& M by 1.18 pc to Rs 3023.15, Kotak Bank by 0.91 pc to Rs 1797.70, Adani Ports by 0.75 pc to Rs 1137.25 and HCL Technology by 0.67 pc to Rs 1755.10.
