Sensex recovers over 300 points

Mumbai, Sep 19 : The BSE Sensex on Monday bounced back 373.89 points at 59,214.68 in opening trade, as fresh buying was seen in Utilities, Auto, Bankex and Capital Goods stocks.

The Nifty too rose 93.95 points at 17,624.80.

The Sensex registered days high and low at 59,240.50 and 59,487.76 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded days high and low at 17,429.70 and 17,624.80 points respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up 0.25 per cent and Small Cap by 0.52 per cent.

In 30 scrips, 21 advanced while 9 declined.

The gainers were M & M by 2.20 per cent to Rs 1278.95, Infosys by 1.57 per cent to Rs 1400.75, Bajaj Finserv by 1.57 per cent to Rs 1762.35, IndusInd Bank by 1.37 per cent to Rs 1244.30 and SBI by 1.25 per cent to Rs 568.50.

The losers were Ultracemco by 2.18 per cent to Rs 6340, Asian Paints by 1.39 per cent to Rs 3293.20, Maruti Suzuki by 0.98 per cent to Rs 9134.75.
