Sensex up 230 points

Mumbai, Dec 5 : The BSE Sensex continued to rally on Thursday too, rising 230 points at 81,186.60 in the opening session as buying was seen across the board.
The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 13.25 points at 24,480.70.
The NSE registered days high and low at 24,539.95 and 24,449.50 points respectively.
The Sensex registered intraday highs at 81,198.87 and 80,988.61 points.
The Mid cap rose 0.28 pc and Small cap by 0.30 pc.
In 30 scrips, 15 advanced, 14 declined, while one remained unchanged.
The gainers were Infosys by 0.99 pc to Rs 1909.10, TCS by 0.97 pc to Rs 4397.55, Bharti Airtel by 0.87 pc to Rs 1597.85, and Ultracemco by 0.84 pc to Rs 11860.70.
The losers were NTPC by 0.99 pc to Rs 369, JSW Steel by 0.72 pc to Rs 988, Asian paints by 0.40 pc to Rs 2449.80 and HDFC Bank by 0.33 pc to Rs 1854.
