Sports : India’s play against Nepal to be live-streamed on Indian Football’s official Facebook page

Kathmandu, Sep 1 : The two back-to-back International friendlies between India and Nepal to be played at the Dasharath Stadium, Kathmandu, will be live-streamed on Indian Football Team’s official Facebook page @TheIndianFootballTeam, the All India Football Federation has said.

While the first play is slated to be held on September 2, (tomorrow), the second and final play is scheduled for September 5. The kick-off time for both the matches is IST 5.15 pm.

In view of the quarantine restrictions on travel in most countries

worldwide, and with no quarantine restrictions on Indians travelling

to Nepal at the moment, the National coach Igor Stimac said the plays would help his boys’ preparation for the forthcoming SAFF Championship in the Maldives in October.

The Blue Tigers, who arrived in Kathmandu on Monday (August 30), had a preparatory camp in Kolkata since August 15.

However, players from ATK Mohun Bagan and Bengaluru FC could not train in the preparatory camp under Igor Stimac owing to their respective club commitments in the AFC Cup.

The 25-member Indian team is as follows:

GOALKEEPERS: Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Amrinder Singh, Dheeraj Singh.

DEFENDERS: Pritam Kotal, Seriton Fernandes, Chinglensana Singh, Rahul Bheke, Subhasish Bose, Mandar Rao Dessai, Akash Mishra.

MIDFIELDERS: Liston Colaco, Bipin Singh, Lalengmawia, Anirudh Thapa, Abdul Sahal, Brandon Fernandes, Pronay Halder, Glan Martins, Suresh Singh, Jeakson Singh, Yasir Mohammad.

FORWARDS: Manvir Singh, Rahim Ali, Farukh Choudhary, Sunil Chhetri.
