Tejaswi Prasad Yadav : ‘It is “shameful” Nitish is unaware of Niti Aayog report’

Patna, Nov 29 : Leader of opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav today said that it was “shameful” that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was unaware of the Niti Aayog report exposing the real picture of the state and announced to send the copy of the report to Mr Kumar to read it.

While talking to media persons in the state assembly premises Mr Yadav said it was surprising as well as shameful that the chief minister has not read the report of the Niti Aayog.

Mr Yadav said that before asking any question from the chief minister he will send the report to him to read.

Asking the chief minister to explain the reason for backwardness of Bihar as exposed in the recent report of the Niti Aayog which was neither prepared by the RJD nor by him, he said that the Niti Aayog is not his personal Institution. Niti Aayog has raised fingers at the performance of Nitish Kumar during 16 years of his rule.

Neither any industry nor employment were generated during the regime of Mr Kumar, he said alleging that migration and crime was unabated and no action were initiated in connection with the hooch which recently claimed lives of several people in the state.

In the name of checking drive under prohibition the police was even not sparing the marriage ceremonies and was knocking the rooms and bathrooms of even of the women. It was also surprising that only a single brand of liquor was being seized during the raids.

Dubbing the double engine government as trouble engine government the RJD leader alleged that the government failed to live up to its promises.

He alleged that corruption was unabated and almost all of the schemes of the state government have become schemes for minting money for the officials and the ministers.

Dubbing the MPs of Nitish Kumar as “dumb, deaf and blind” whom he alleged not to have delivered anything good to the state Mr Yadav said that being Union Minister the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav had managed special package for Rs 1 lakh 44 thousand crore to Bihar.
