Chennai, Jan 17 : Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi today condoled

the death of legendary Kathak dancer Birju Maharaj and said Nation’s

cultural firmament has lost its brightest star.

In a tweet, Mr Ravi said the Kathak genius will always be remembered

for his outstanding contribution.

“On the demise of Padma Vibhushan, Pt.#BirjuMaharaj, Hon’ble Governor

expressed his heartfelt condolences. Nation’s cultural firmament has lost

its brightest star. The Kathak genius will always be remembered for his

outstanding contribution. May his soul rest in eternal peace”, he said.
