Trump team thanks Biden for donning ‘Trump 2024’ hat

Washington, Sep 12 : The War Room for Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump is thanking US President Joe Biden after photos of the president wearing a Trump campaign hat circulated on social media.
“Thanks for the support Joe!” the War Room account posted on X.
White House Senior Deputy Press Secretary Andrew Bates commented on the photo, saying that the incident had occurred during Biden’s visit to Shanksville Fire Station following his appearance at a 9/11 memorial service.
“As a gesture, he gave a hat to a Trump supporter who then said that in the same spirit, POTUS should put on his Trump cap. He briefly wore it,” said Bates.
The President was in Shanksville, Pennsylvania for a service commemorating Flight 93, whose 40 passengers and crewmembers aboard the plane took collective action to stop hijackers from flying the plane into a federal building on the morning of September 11, 2001.
